This friday I am sharing one of my favourite looks we have at work for the summer season… Vintage Bahamas.
I think in summer everyone wants to channel a bit of the relaxed coastal vibe that we remember from holidays into our homes and often into our outdoor entertaining areas. I have enjoyed implementing the looks into the store but I always love seeing the looks translated into real setting as featured in the latest Domayne look book. Although I could get a copy at work I actually saw mine first when my copy of Real Living arrived featuring Shannon Fricke on the cover and a great story about her home inside. You can see one of her quilts on the bed below and those gorgeous aqua velvet cushions..well another friday favourite of mine are the two euro sized versions I just bought home from work last night.
Well we all know that I’m a fan of her work (or check the story here)so when I saw on her blog that she had styled that section of the spread I wasn’t surprised. She was talking about how she had found some vintage wallpaper while on a trip to the US earlier in the year and lugged it back in her carry on luggage..I think we’ve all been there. As you can see the tropical wallpaper is so evocative and really captured the look and feeling so well. You can read about it and see more pics on shannons blog.
I will have to dream about sipping some cocktails in that tropical room below because we have had a turn in the weather with storms and wild winds today..hope it’s a bit better where you are.
