Well I may not be finished but I thought I had better give an update on Campbells room. You may remember that I had some ideas back here.
There have been some changes like we had our timber floors redone in walnut to replace the black and the monsterz fabric I was going to have has been replaced with the Storm cloud original fabric that I designed. Campbell likes the lightning bolts you see and it is his room so it was the deciding factor..but his new pendant light also matches it better too.
You can see the nursery look with the storm clouds below..black is being used more and more in nurseries and I think this would be quite cool.
So here is a bit of a first look after i did a bit of a tIdy up. As you can see I did decide to go with the Morgan bunk from Domayne. He loves it even though we have had to get used to the low headspace on the bottom bunk.
I have dressed the top bunk to show you the patchwork quilt but I am going to get the yellow chevron quilt cover that matches the pillowcases from Urban Outfitters for the other bunk. I didn’t want them to be exactly the same but to be able to mix and match.
The light fitting is one I’ve always admired for that mid century style..and you know you see them at all the replica places but I just this one from a friend who works at Beacon lighting. When you look into his room it’s the first thing you see so I think its lovely to have it as a feature.
I just need to work on some kind of artwork or prints to hang on his wall..which is the second thing you see after the light. I thought I might hang some black and white pics, maybe paint him a canvas or cover one with some fabric. I am a bit addicted to picture collages so I guess he will have another one of those once I pull together enough random bits.
And just so you know that things aren’t as perfect as they might look (some days the bed doesn’t even get made!!) I have included this ‘behind the scenes’ pic below. While I was trying to make the bed presentable on top it was chaos below. I love how you can see Jaspers’ little face peeking out. And I love this pic of Cam and the pillow..before he messed the whole thing up.
