It’s Friday again….Do you have anything planned for the weekend?
We are off to Sydney for a friends 40th so we will stay over and maybe have a nice brunch by the harbour tomorrow morning. It will be a nice child free night so we are also making a bit of an anniversary getaway as we celebrated 14 years of marriage this week. Time flies so fast..in that time we counted one child, three dogs, three houses, eight house moves, three renovations and four overseas adventures…..I look forward to even more adventures ahead with my best friend.
I received a lovely message from the girls at May and Belle who are based down the coast from me at beautiful Ulladulla. They are loving the new geometrics range. The girls have many prints that they thought would be perfect in little boys rooms and also in your home so I thought I’d share a couple here for my friday favourite.
The use of maps, particularly vintage look maps is a trend that has been going strong in interiors for a while now and show no sign of abating. They are a great addition to a boys room of any age.
When I see these types of maps in interior pics it does take me back to primary school where we had the big world map and the one of Australia with the timber on the top and bottom. Do you remember those?
This personalised map is perfect for a nursery..it has a whimsical , vintage vibe that could be used in a more traditional style room with a lot of worn timbers but could also work in a modern style interior with lots of white and colour. What a lovely gift it would make.
And how great is this one where you map out where your family lives all over the world..pretty cool right? It would also be great to map out all the places your child might like to learn about and visit.
