Mothers Day

Yes I know I’m a bit late but just wanted to see if you all had a lovely mothers day..I know a lot of you may be having your first or still waiting for bub to come out so it is a special time.

I remember my first mothers day my husband was on night shift and he left a beautiful card and voucher for a day spa in the cot so when I went in during the early hours I found it..so cute and thoughtful.

All I wanted that mothers day..and since I guess is a nice picture of me and my boy together. It’s these special memories that I cherish the most especially as you watch them grow so fast before your eyes.

So this year we actually had a mother and son mini holiday up to Sydney. I had my cousin who is like a little sister to visit and we all stayed over at Bondi Beach at a boutique style hotel, Ravesi..right in the centre of the action. My husband and I used to live here before we were married and it now felt like that was another lifetime.

Anyway we had time to wander and hand out and just enjoy the absolutely gorgeous autumn weather we were blessed with. We swung into Ikea on the way home much to Campbells delight as he just loves to watch the planes that fly by quite low coming in to land at the nearby airport.

So we had a lovely time..memories to cherish and then spent yesterday with my own special mum. The unconditional love and support my mum has always given me has really shown me what being a mum is all about and I thank you for that mum. She is always there when I need her and she helps make Alphabet Monkey possible. If I can do half as good a job I will be going well….love you mum xx

Ohh Nici, what a beautiful heartfelt post. I can’t believe how grown up your little man is! I followed your Bondi trip with you on instagram. It made me miss Sydney. We may have to do a NSW trip in the next few months I think! Lots of love, Heather xx
