Sweet Paul Mag…kids issue

I’d like to share with you the new issue of Sweet Paul magazine which is a special kids issue. Have you heard of this online mag before?

sweet paul kids issue

The story behind it is one of those lovely success stories..a boy born in Oslo turned New York stylist turned blogger turned magazine and styling guru. The fairytale right?? The online magazine is now also printed and distributed through Anthropologie stores (which we don’t have here but at least we can see it online).

He says he grew up baking and crafting with his grandma and aunt who had a motto, “perfection is boring” which Paul has carried through with him to this day. What a great thing to remember especially when it comes to kids..

Paul says “I wanted Sweet Paul magazine to be an anticipated quarterly that readers could use to sweeten their everyday life. I strive to put out a magazine that is as creative and visually stunning as Martha Stewart Living but without being weighed-down with impossible recipes and projects developed for expert chefs and crafters.” Yay..and he has achieved just that.

I had heard of it and knew of its reputation but hadn’t yet subscribed which I will do now after really checking this issue out. The styling is just gorgeous and I found the projects and recipes included to be imaginative, well presented yet not out of reach and I’m looking forward to trying some out..especially some of the science experiments and the diy chalk.

The issue includes recipes for kids, fashion, decorating, party styling ideas, I’m loving the Wizard of Oz party  .  Holly Becker from Decor8 blog has a special feature on decorating childrens’ rooms which you may like to read.  It is interesting because Holly really looks at creative storage as a way of  decorating also noting that kids tastes change quickly and that most of their things are decorative in themselves so why not just work with it.

So let me know what you think of it……

Well our prize winner was Julia and she was a very happy lady indeed after having a challenging night with her four month old it was just the lift she needed. She has chosen the last organic Geometric quilt in yellow and grey for her little darling Hugo.
